WordMatrix Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the WordMatrix mobile applications, including free and premium features, guest usage, sign-in flows where available, puzzle progress, gameplay features, and related support pages linked from the app. It covers information handled by Cybrainx and by the third-party service providers that help us operate the app.

WordMatrix is designed as a word puzzle and mental training app. It is provided for entertainment, vocabulary practice, and cognitive exercise. It is not presented as an educational certification, psychological evaluation, medical service, or emergency service.

2. Information We Collect

Account and sign-in data If account features are enabled and you create an account or sign in, we may collect your email address, display name, user ID, authentication provider, and provider-specific identifiers needed to complete sign-in through supported providers.

Profile and preferences We may store app settings such as language, theme, sound settings, reminder preferences, notification time, difficulty preferences, accessibility settings, and similar gameplay preferences. Current mobile builds do not require precise GPS permission.

Gameplay and puzzle data We may store puzzle progress, solved words, scores, streaks, hint usage, completed grids, daily challenge history, achievements, timestamps, and other gameplay information needed to provide the WordMatrix experience.

Subscription and billing data If you purchase premium access, we may receive subscription status, entitlement status, product identifiers, store transaction status, and app user identifiers through the app stores and subscription providers. We do not receive your full credit card number.

Advertising and device data If ads are enabled, Google Mobile Ads and its partners may process device identifiers, app and device information, approximate network information, and ad performance data. Ad providers may process technical data needed to serve, limit fraud, and measure ads.

Local files and on-device storage We may store app settings, puzzle cache, downloaded puzzle packs, guest progress, guest preferences, temporary files, and reminder settings on your device to support app functionality. Some of this information may stay only on your device unless you sign in or use a sync feature.

Information you provide directly

Email address, password, or sign-in choice where account features are available.
Profile selections such as language, theme, reminder preferences, and difficulty settings.
Gameplay choices such as solved puzzles, saved progress, hints, and challenge activity.
Support requests you submit through our contact channels.

Information collected automatically

Technical app and device information needed for authentication, purchases, notifications, ads, and crash reporting.
Gameplay events such as completed puzzles, score updates, streak changes, hint usage, and app session events.
Temporary cache files created to load puzzles, save local state, or improve performance.
Subscription state and entitlement information returned by app stores and subscription providers.

Information from third parties

Sign-in providers may provide account identifiers, email address, and basic profile information allowed by your provider settings.
Apple App Store, Google Play, and subscription providers may provide purchase and entitlement status.
Google Mobile Ads may provide ad response and ad measurement data.
Analytics and crash reporting providers may provide aggregated usage, diagnostics, and stability data.

3. How We Use Information

To create and secure your account and let you sign in where account features are enabled.
To provide puzzles, daily challenges, score tracking, hints, streaks, achievements, and app settings.
To save your progress across sessions and, where supported, across devices.
To deliver local reminders and manage your notification preferences.
To provide premium subscriptions, restore purchases, and manage billing status.
To show ads in supported versions or tiers of the app.
To maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve the app.
To understand gameplay balance, feature usage, stability, and performance.
To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

4. Sharing and Service Providers

We do not sell your personal information in the ordinary sense of selling customer lists for cash. We do share information with the service providers and platforms needed to run the app:

Firebase or similar backend providers for authentication, database, crash reporting, analytics, and related app services where used.
Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, Facebook Login, or other sign-in providers when you choose those sign-in methods and they are available in your build.
Google Mobile Ads / AdMob for ads and related ad measurement where ads are enabled.
RevenueCat or similar subscription providers for subscription and entitlement management where applicable.
Apple App Store and Google Play for in-app purchase processing.
Device-level notification, sharing, and accessibility services when you use those features.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect users, to enforce our terms, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.

5. Ads and Analytics

WordMatrix may display ads in some versions or subscription tiers. Advertising providers may process device, identifier, network, and ad response data to deliver ads, limit fraud, and report ad performance.

We may also use analytics and crash reporting tools to understand app stability, gameplay flow, puzzle difficulty, feature usage, and performance. Analytics may include aggregated or pseudonymous events such as session starts, puzzle completion, hint usage, and purchase state.

If we later enable personalized ads, tracking, remarketing, or new analytics tools, we will update this Privacy Policy and any required in-app notices or store disclosures before shipping those changes.

6. Retention and Deletion

We keep personal information for as long as it is reasonably needed to operate the app, maintain your account, provide premium features, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements.

Account data, synced progress, scores, streaks, and preferences are generally kept until you delete them or delete your account.
Guest-only information stored locally on your device may remain until you remove the app, clear app data, or sign in and replace local state.
Temporary cache files and downloaded puzzle data may remain on-device for a limited period until they are pruned or removed by the operating system or the app.
Backups, logs, subscription records, and fraud-prevention records may remain for a limited time where reasonably necessary.

If account deletion is available in the app, using that flow is intended to remove your account record and related synced gameplay data controlled by Cybrainx, subject to reasonable backup, security, fraud-prevention, and legal retention needs.

7. Your Choices and Rights

You can choose whether to create an account or continue as a guest where guest usage is available.
You can manage reminder settings inside the app and through your device notification settings.
You can choose whether to use supported third-party login options that are enabled in your build.
You can reset, delete, or manage local gameplay data where those controls are available in the app or device settings.
You can request help with access, correction, or deletion through our contact channel.

If you cannot access the app and need help deleting your account or data, use the contact method in the Contact section below. For store compliance, your public support page should also explain how users can request deletion outside the app.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. These may include account-based access controls, platform security controls, encrypted transport where supported, and security features provided by our infrastructure partners. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

WordMatrix is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum digital age in the relevant jurisdiction, without parental or guardian involvement. If you believe a child has provided personal information in violation of applicable law, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

10. International Transfers

Our service providers may process or store information in countries other than the one where you live. By using the app, you understand that information may be transferred to and processed in these jurisdictions, subject to applicable safeguards and law.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or operational updates. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. If a change is material, we may also provide additional notice inside the app or through store metadata where required.
